August 2020: I successfully concluded the Summer 2020 SlicerMorph 3D Morphometrics Online Short Course.

Projects approved

November 2020: Two projects were approved by the Brazilian Federal funding agency (PROTAX - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico - CNPq) to work with the taxonomy and systematics of Amphisbaenia during 2021-2024. I am a collaborator of both proposals as a postdoctoral fellow. One proposal was approved by Dr. Síria Ribeiro (UFOPA) and the other by Dr. Ana L.C. Prudente (MPEG).

Postdoctoral Fellowship

April 2022: I am thrilled to announce that I will begin a new postdoctoral at The Steinhardt Museum of Natural History at Tel Aviv University in Israel. I will work with the hidden diversity of the Middle East Reptiles in Dr. Shai Meiri's Lab in collaboration with Dr. Aaron Bauer from Villanova University, Pennsylvania, USA. The Gans Collections and Charitable Fund will fund this big and awesome project.

March 2021: Very happy to receive Seal of Excellence for my Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowship submission in the field of Environmental Science. My proposal was scored as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process. My project was not funded during this call, but this certificate motivates me to keep trying.

March 2023: Very happy to receive the Top Downloaded paper for 2021 from Zoologica Scripta. In this paper, we described a new species of snails from Brazil.

April 2024: Very happy to receive the Top cited paper for 2022-2023 from Zoologica Scripta. In this paper, we described a new species of cat-eyed snake (Leptodeira)

Visiting Collections

From November 2023 to March 2024, I will visit some European Museums of Natural History for the taxonomic work of Israeli reptiles. I will visit the Koening and Senckenberg Natural History Museum in Germany; The Natural History Museum in London, UK; and the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France.

From March to May 2024, I will visit some American  Museums of Natural History for the taxonomic work of Israeli reptiles. I will visit the Smithsonian, in Washington D.C.; California Academy of Science (CAS), in San Francisco; and Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ), in Boston.
